(posted by Public Affairs on September 21 @ 11:33 )
For the third straight week, gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen, this time by an average of three cents, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s September 21 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.63 per gallon, down three cents from last week and six cents in the last three weeks. The current price is eight cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $2.55. A year ago at this time the average price was $3.52.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 31 cents, from a low of $2.489 to a high of $2.799. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
