| Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down another penny this week, according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s June 14 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.74 per gallon, dropping five cents in the last two weeks, and more than 20 cents in the last month. The current price is five cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $2.69. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $2.65—9 cents lower than today’s numbers. The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 38 cents, from a low of $2.599 to a high of $2.979. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time. Today’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows: |
