Gas Prices Jup 13 Cents, Says AAA

Higher crude oil prices over the past few weeks have translated into higher prices at the pump, with gasoline prices in Rhode Island up an average of 13 cents per gallon in just the last week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s May 11 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.23 per gallon, up 13 cents from last week. The price has risen 18 cents over the last month, and is one cent above the national average for regular unleaded of $2.22. Today’s price is $1.47 less than the $3.70 found a year ago.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 31 cents, from a low of $2.059 to a high of $2.369. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
