Gas Prices Down A Penny, Says AAA

For the fifth consecutive week, the average price of gasoline in Rhode Island has moved only slightly, and today is down just a penny over last week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s December 24 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.069 per gallon, one cent less than last week. Rhode Island is currently nine cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $2.979. A year ago at this time the average price in Rhode Island was $2.429.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 20 cents, from a low of $2.999 to a high of $3.199. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
Today’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows:
Regular Unleaded - Self Serve/Full Serve

Midgrade Unleaded - Self Serve/Full Serve
$3.189 ($3.149-$3.379)/$3.229 ($3.199-$3.259)
Premium Unleaded - Self Serve/Full Serve
$3.289 ($3.219-$3.479)/$3.319 ($3.299-$3.359)
Diesel - Self Serve/Full Serve
$3.569 ($3.519-$3.599)/$3.519 ($3.459-$3.559)
