Gas Prices Fall 12 More Cents, Says AAA

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen for the eighth consecutive week, a period that has seen prices tumble by more than $1.30 per gallon, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s November 10 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.239 per gallon, 12 cents less than last week, 88 cents less than a month ago, and $1.32 less than two months ago on September 15. Rhode Island is currently one cent below the national average of self-serve regular of $2.24. A year ago at this time the average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Rhode Island was $3.039.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 31 cents, from a low of $2.149 to a high of $2.459. Diesel is down 16 cents this week to $3.28. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
