Gas Prices Rise Two Cents, Says AAA

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up two cents over last week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s March 15 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.77 per gallon, rising two cents from last week. The current price is two cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.79, and it marks a seven cent increase in the last month. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $1.95—82 cents lower than today’s numbers.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 26 cents, from a low of $2.609 to a high of $2.869. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.

Gas Prices Up Four Cents, Says AAA

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up an average of four cents per gallon this week, the second consecutive week of increases, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s March 8 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.75 per gallon, four cents higher than last week and five cents more than two weeks ago. The current price is equal to the national average for regular unleaded of $2.75. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $1.96—79 cents lower than today’s numbers.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 24 cents, from a low of $2.629 to a high of $2.869. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.

AAA’s February 22 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.70 per gallon, the same price as last week. The current price is six cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $2.64. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $1.98—72 cents lower than today’s numbers.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 22 cents, from a low of $2.629 to a high of $2.849. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
