GAS PRICES FALL ANOTHER 6 CENTS IN BAY STATE

There’s good news for Bay State motorists: gasoline prices in Massachusetts fell another six cents this week, providing more much-needed relief at the pump.
AAA’s August 4 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.899 per gallon, six cents less than last week and 19 cents lower than just three weeks ago. Massachusetts is currently one penny above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.889. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.849.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 72 cents, from a low of $3.619 to a high of $4.339. Diesel fell four cents to $4.77. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
