Regular Unleaded Gas Prices Unchanged, Says AAA
(posted by Public Affairs on August 24 @ 11:05 )
Regular unleaded gasoline prices in Massachusetts are logging no change this week, capping three straight weeks of increases, according to AAA Southern New England. Average prices for mid-grade, premium and diesel fuels are each up one penny.
AAA’s August 24 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.639 per gallon, unchanged from last week, and up 14 cents in the last month. The current price is one cent above the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.62, and is 99 cents less than the $3.62 found this time a year ago.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 28 cents, from a low of $2.489 to a high of $2.769. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week
If it’s been a while since you’ve checked your tire pressure, make sure your tires are properly inflated. Low tire pressure and problems with wheel alignment reduce fuel efficiency.
