(posted by Public Affairs on July 14 @ 13:12 )
One week after rising two cents, gasoline prices in Massachusetts have fallen by two cents this week, and are at the same level as most of the last month, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s July 14 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $4.069 per gallon, two cents less than last week but the same $4.06 price as in the previous three AAA weekly surveys. Massachusetts is currently four cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $4.109. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.929.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 46 cents, from a low of $3.939 to a high of $4.399. Diesel rose one cent to $4.89. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
