Gas Prices Fall Three Cents, Says AAA
(posted by Public Affairs on July 13 @ 10:29 )
Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down for the third straight week, with a three-cent decline that is the largest one-week drop since the end of 2008, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s July 13 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.569 per gallon, down three cents from last week and seven cents in the last three weeks. The current price is four cents above the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.52, and is $1.50 less than the $4.06 found this time a year ago.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 46 cents, from a low of $2.399 to a high of $2.859. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
Today’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows:

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week
If your vehicle’s engine does not need premium fuel, using anything other than regular is simply a waste of money. Keep track of gas mileage. If you notice a decrease in fuel economy, your vehicle may not be operating at peak performance.
