| After rising for ten consecutive weeks, gasoline prices in Massachusetts are unchanged this week, according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s June 23 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $4.069 per gallon, the same price as last week and $1.01 more since the start of the year. Massachusetts is currently one cent below the national average for regular unleaded of $4.079. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.939. The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 46 cents, from a low of $3.939 to a high of $4.399. Diesel fell a penny last week to $4.92. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
