With gas prices topping off at more than $3.70 a gallon for regular unleaded in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, cash-strapped consumers are hunting for the very best price at the pump. And with Memorial Day and the start of the summer driving season just around the corner, smart shopping for the cheapest gas can really save you money.
AAA Southern New England offers consumers two useful tools. Check out the best local gas prices at AAA Fuel Finder by logging on to AAA.com and clicking on “Gas Saving Tips and Tools.” And take advantage of AAA’s brand new, just-released enhancements to the TripTik Travel Planner. The new and improved TripTik now enables you to customize your trip, and provides easier navigation and an improved route modification tool. Best of all, users can access the most up-to-date fuel prices at more than 100,000 U.S. gas stations. AAA members can also obtain a copy of the Gas Watcher’s Guide at their local AAA Southern New England office.
When it comes to saving on fuel, small changes can add up to big savings over time.
