| Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up three cents this week, and sit at the doorstep of the $2.00 per gallon mark, according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s April 20 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $1.999 per gallon, three cents more than last week. The current price is six cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.05, yet the price is still $1.39 less than the $3.38 found this time a year ago. The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 26 cents, from a low of $1.899 to a high of $2.159. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
