(posted by Public Affairs on April 14 @ 10:07 )
Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up an average of five cents this week, and have moved to within four cents of the all-time record high, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s April 14 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.199 per gallon, five cents more than last week. The record high of $3.23 was reached in 2005 right after Hurricane Katrina. Massachusetts is currently 18 cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $3.379. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.749.
