| Gasoline prices in Massachusetts rise two cents after last weeks slight decline and diesel prices saw a very slight decline of a penny a gallon according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s March 31 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.149 per gallon, up two cents from last week. Massachusetts is currently 14 cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $3.289. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.639. The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 28 cents, from a low of $3.019 to a high of $3.299. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
