Gas Prices Up Third Straight Week, Says AAA

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up today an average of two cents per gallon, the third consecutive week with an increase, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s March 3rd survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.079 per gallon, up two cents from last week and 13 cents more than three weeks ago. Massachusetts is currently nine cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $3.169. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.449.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 33 cents, from a low of $2.969 to a high of $3.299. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
