| Gasoline prices in Massachusetts have risen for the first time in five weeks, now averaging $2.969 per gallon according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s February 18th survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.969 per gallon, up two-cents from last week. Massachusetts is currently five-cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $3.019. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.209. The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 44 cents, from a low of $2.819 to a high of $3.259. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time. Today’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows: Regular Unleaded - Self Serve/Full Serve $2.969 ($2.819-$3.259)/$3.099 ($2.959-$3.349) Midgrade Unleaded - Self Serve/Full Serve $3.109 ($2.949-$3.359)/$3.279 ($3.059-$3.539) Premium Unleaded - Self Serve/Full Serve $3.209 ($3.049-$3.559)/$3.369 ($3.159-$3.639) Diesel - Self Serve/Full Serve $3.519 ($3.299-$3.699)/$3.549 ($3.469-$3.699) Find the most up-to-date local gas prices with the AAA Fuel Finder by logging onto AAA.com and clicking on Gas Saving Tips & Tools.
