(posted by Public Affairs on November 9 @ 10:40 )
For the fourth week in a row, gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up, this week by just a penny, according to AAA Southern New England.

The current price is two cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.66. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $2.28, 36 cents lower than today’s average.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 48 cents, from a low of $2.419 to a high of $2.899. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week
Fuel is part of the total cost of vehicle ownership, so fuel conservation should be an important factor when choosing a new vehicle. Consider whether the car, truck or sport utility vehicle under consideration is bigger and heavier than necessary. Compare the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fuel economy ratings on the vehicles you are considering.
