| Gasoline prices in Massachusetts have fallen for the eighth consecutive week, a period that has seen prices tumble by more than $1.30 per gallon, according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s November 10 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.289 per gallon, 17 cents less than last week, 86 cents less than a month ago, and $1.33 less than two months ago on September 15. Massachusetts is currently four cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $2.249. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.979. The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 64 cents, from a low of $2.059 to a high of $2.699. Diesel fell 14 cents last week to $3.31. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
