Gas Prices Down Two Cents, Says AAA
(posted by Public Affairs on October 9 @ 11:55 )
Over the last month gasoline prices in Massachusetts have been up a little and down a little, with the price today the same as it was just after Labor Day, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s October 8 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.659 per gallon, two cents less than last week. A month ago the average price was also $2.65, and has only varied a few cents either way since then. Massachusetts is currently 11 cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.769. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was falling rapidly and was down to $2.239.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 56 cents, from a low of $2.439 to a high of $2.999. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
