Gas Prices Up Another Five Cents, Says AAA

The impact of high crude oil prices continues to be felt at the gas pumps, as prices in Massachusetts jumped across all self and full service grades for the second consecutive week, and average eight cents per gallon more than two weeks ago, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s October 29 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.729 per gallon, five cents more than last week, and eight cents more than $2.649 on October 15. Massachusetts is currently 13 cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.859. A year ago at this time the average price in Massachusetts was $2.129.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 40 cents, from a low of $2.599 to a high of $2.999. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
