Gas Prices Down Three More Cents, Says AAA

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down for the third straight week, down three cents today and seven cents from three weeks ago, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s February 8 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.659 per gallon, down three cents from last week. The current price is equal to the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.65. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $1.85, 80 cents lower than today’s average.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 38 cents, from a low of $2.519 to a high of $2.899. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.

The current price is equal to the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.70. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $1.77, 93 cents lower than today’s average.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up, jumping eight cents this week over last, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s January 11 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.709 per gallon, up eight cents from last week. The current price is four cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.74, and it is the highest price since October 2008. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $1.69, more than a dollar lower than today’s average.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 39 cents, from a low of $2.569 to a high of $2.959. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
